Serenity

For the month of March’s “Snap a Dozen Days” Photo-AL I have chosen to take a photo of my cactus plants in my ensuite bathroom. Why you ask? Because, for me, this is a place of serenity and a place to relax while enjoying a nice long bath in our jacuzzi tub. The month of March has meant a return to serenity and to peacefulness as my DH and I settle into our new home and our new city. I forgot what peaceful was like in the big city of Toronto with all the rushing around and commuting. We really are lucky to be able to choose to live in another city and to have another lifestyle. And for that, I am truly thankful.
Happy March and happy first day of Spring everyone!

Seduction Socks

I wonder how many weird hits I’m going to get from that title….LOL! When I saw these socks in Interweave Knits’ Spring issue, well, I fell in love and being that the pattern was written for merino/tencel, I decided to take some of my own handdyed yarn off the virtual shelf and cast on! And it’s a free project too…whee! And then I’m knitting away and thinking, you know, this colourway is called Blue Lagoon and it brings up images of Brooke Shields on the island falling in love in that very same titled movie… I certainly chose the right colourway for these socks…LOL I know, I know, I’m probably dating myself with that movie but alas, I’m not a spring chicken anymore!
