Pink Party!

Remember that big pile of yarn I had a contest to guess how many for?  Well, here’s the colour…that’s a lot of pink eh?  This order was a butt kicker but now everything seems not so bad since…LOL!  I loved working on it even if it was very labour intensive.  I swear sometimes I had no idea just how physically labourious yarn dyeing can be but when you have to create a pile like this, oh yes, it does test your resolve!  For those handpainters out there that produce orders twice the size of this, bless you!  I can’t see doing anything bigger than this without help though…all this by myself folks!  Phew but doesn’t it look pretty?  Darn colours get me everytime especially after an exhausting order like this that really make me wonder if I should pack it in or not.  Ahhhhhh, colour!!

Red Roses – So Pretty!

They really do speak for themselves don’t they?  

Mr. Zen hasn’t bought me flowers for Valentine’s since before we got married a couple of years ago so I’m marking the occasion this year…LOL!  He’s so not a flower person…but then again, what guy is?  LOL

I waited for the roses to open a bit before posting a photo.  Can you say “awwwwwwwww” with me??  LOL! 

Usually he cooks me a lovely meal for Valentine’s but since we were both busy this year, flowers it was and I won’t complain…flowers are just so pretty!

And the Winner is…

Wow, I’m just totally floored by how many participated in the “guess the amount of yarn” contest!  I really appreciate everyone dropping by and giving their guess!  It was a lot of fun to watch the numbers roll in and a couple of them even made me giggle – we had one as high as 1,600 which was too adorable because it came from Shain’s son!  I wish it was that many!

So the grand total was 175 skeins – we did have 2 guesses for this number but I thought it most fair to award the first guess of this number as a lot of you probably didn’t say that many because it was already taken.  For now I can’t show you the colour as it’s a secret until the recipients receive them in mid-February!
