Cast On or Cast Off – What’s Your Favourite?

In Miscellaneous on December 12, 2004 at 6:43 pm

There’s nothing quite like casting on and doing the first few rows and watching the pattern and yarn unfold themselves into something creative. Then when the project is finished and you cast-off, there’s the equally exciting feeling of being finished! It’s a great cycle…the act of casting on gets the creativeness energy flowing and the act of casting off is that final sigh of “I did it!!”. I can’t decide which one I prefer because they are equally important to me in my creative journey of creating a knitted item. These knitting processes are reminiscent of other activities in life…the exhiliration of being creative and the exhiliration of completion…without each of them, the circle of creativity probably wouldn’t exist…it’s near impossible to have one without the other. Do you have a favourite??
