Bulky Wool Dyeing

In Dyeing on January 12, 2006 at 10:02 pm

This one makes me say hmmmmmm…and why? Because it dyes a lot differently from the sock yarns that’s for sure!

Much more muted tones came out and the acid dyes didn’t really saturate the yarns colour-wise. Still pretty cool nonetheless but also different – this yarn reminds me a lot of the handspuns actually with its texture. I’m quite sure it would be a good one for felting projects!

Such different results for everything that’s for sure…from the acid dyes to the Koolaid and now the yarn texture and thickness changes things again! So much fun!
