Phew, that’s a lot of yarn!

This week has been so hectic with dyeing yarn it’s been insane. However, I must admit it’s been very gratifying too. Once the yarn is dry, rolled up and tagged, the colours still intrigue me and I’m always mystified to realize that it was my hands in the dye pot that created these colours.

And in other news, if you haven’t already heard, there’s a merino shortage in Australia because of drought. This means that some base yarns will be backordered for a little while. When I heard this, it struck me that the demand from knitters must be pretty high if there is an actual shortage of merino. Phew, that’s a lot of knitters too!

As always, click the photo to see all the colourways – scroll down when you get to the Flickr page. From there, you can click on each individual photo to see them larger too.

These guys are on their way to Kpixie.com so watch for them in about a week or so.
