I’m a huge fan of Sallee’s bags from Nana Sadie Rose. If you haven’t ever tried them, I highly suggest you do! She has come out with yet another awesome one for sock projects – this one is called Grace and not only does it stand up no problem with 2 skeins of yarn in it but you get two straps on the back so you can sling this one over your shoulders and off you go! I have been a huge fan of Sallee’s bags for ages – the quality, the inventiveness and the usefulness of all of them…well worth their weight in gold! I am never disappointed with what Sallee sends me ever. I have a few of her bags now and love them all! What’s even cooler is you can custom colour your bag – you will notice that I got the prototype colours that’s on her website but I swear she must’ve made it for me – so my colours and style!
Another wonderful acquisition I made this weekend is a skein of self-striping merino/tencel yarn from Lovesticks Sock Yarn. If you are looking for self-striping, I suggest you give Katie’s store a visit – lots of yarn base options and lots of self-striping colourways. Beautiful and since I don’t do self-striping colourways, this is indeed a treat for me!
Tell her I sent you! 🙂

Woohoo…yet another trade! What lovely yarn this is from Alison and I'll be sending her some of my worsted weight yarn in the Fuzzy Navel colourway. Thanks again Alison…love it!
Anyone else want to trade? Too much fun! I have always lusted after Debbie Bliss yarns but have not had the chance to try them…these should make a lovely scarf!
Can anyone guess what my favourite colours are?? LOL! I am just so obvious sometimes… 😉

Wow, I haven't fed my stash in a really long time but on my visit to Romni Wools yesterday, I just couldn't pass up some Manos del Uruguay yarn! These are lovely and I really like the look of the handspun too. I can only aspire to put colours together as nice as they do! Wonderful colour combo!
Not sure what I'll make with these, however, a really cute scarf comes to mind and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully I'll keep it for myself…is everyone else like me? Make something and instantly give it away?? Especially when it's scarves? LOL!

Today's April 1st and it's the annual "Flash Your Stash" day!! I have a few ways to show my stash (LOL) so here are the options:
And for added flashing, I thought I'd also show my handdyed yarn because I've done so much of it…just have to share….LOL! Here it is:
Enjoy everyone! See you next year! 🙂 And for more details on the flashing, visit Zib here.

I need more yarn like I need a “hole in the head”…gosh, where have I said that before? Oh ya, in reference to *another* hobby…. LOL! The man in the red suit brought these lovely yarns to me this year and I am just getting around to posting about them… 🙂 And funny part is… these yarns are wonderfully delicious but now that I dye my own yarn, hmmmm, I could make my own couldn’t I? LOL!
However, these yarns go with the patterns in my Jaeger pattern books which just makes knitting those patterns a no-brainer… I really hate figuring out yarn substitutions… especially for large projects like sweaters. Speaking of knitting… I gotta pick up my needles, however, I’m dyeing some worsted weight yarn today instead… go figure! When a girl’s addicted, she addicted… there’s no stopping her …LOL!
Oh, one other thing — how many of you think about how to display your yarn stash for pictures? Do you just throw it all in a pile and take a picture or do you think about backdrops, lighting and such? As you can see, I always think about how to set up my yarn… do you too?
And one more thing on yarn and all its loveliness — go check out how the “Spicy Licorice” colourway is knitting up — visit Steph’s Purl Schmurl (cute name) blog here. I really loved the colours when they came out of the dye bath and seeing them knit up is way cool – do you think Steph will give me the yarn back? I kind of want it for myself now… LOL!
As always, click on the pictures to see the *big* view of the yarn! Thanks for all the birthday wishes as well guys!

It’s true! My craft has finally grown large enough to take over an entire spare room! I’m so excited to have it all in one place and I finally got all my yarn stash into Ziploc bags and more organized and out of those Rubbermaid containers…I can’t see it in there…which drives me nuts…LOL Anyways, this will be my little heaven for looking at my yarn, looking at my pattern books and dreaming about my next project. When the yarn’s hidden away, I totally forget what I have and truth is, I have a lot of projects right here waiting to be done but yet I keep buying yarn…go figure…LOL
Now I just need to hint to DH to buy me a shelving unit to put all that yarn onto…it needs to come off the floor! Can anyone figure out my favourite colours from the yarn stash I have? Then go ahead and look at the post I have about knitting the wrong sweater…what was I thinking when I bought that coloured yarn for me??? 😐 It’s true I like blues but i has to be certain blues…LOL

I wound up some Fleece Artist yarn I had in hanks and oh my, pretty hanks really do make pretty cakes!!! I think I’ll just wind up all my hanks to see just how pretty they will be!! You can tell this yarn is wonderful in the hanks but look how nice it is in a cake!!
Can you tell I’m having fun with my new toy??!! 🙂 Seriously, only a knitter would get excited over a little yarn cake…my DH didn’t find it that amusing!! LOL

Ahhhhh, what lovely yarn! I sure wish my ball winder would hurry up and get here so I could wind these into centre-pull skeins! I have so many hanks of yarn that are sitting in my stash because I can’t find the time or energy to manually wind them….the ball winder will be a God send when it arrives. I have a sweater planned for this yarn from Paton’s Urban Neutrals. Instead of a solid-coloured sweater, I thought it’d be fun to mix it up and make it two colours — with sleeves. Not sure how I’m going to do the two colours but for now, what lovely yarn! Ogle away and as always, want to see it bigger? Click on the photo! How satisfying was that??!! I could stare at yarn photos all day!

Oh yes, another one!! Baby jackets and booties are just too cute and so much fun to make! So these are my colour choices for the next one. Can’t you just see these colours with a cute little pair of pink or red baby pants? I sure can! In the meantime, I’m quite sure I’m addicted to these projects…LOL!

I have the Homespun, the trim in Bernat Satin and the buttons…now I just need to get out my crochet hook and get going! So much fun picking out buttons too…I picked these blue ones without the yarn *hoping* they would match okay…was I ever pleased when they did!
